DCI’s Master Instructor Program is designed to prepare licensed Estheticians, Cosmetologists, Nail Technicians, and Barbers for careers in education and leadership within the industry. The program provides comprehensive instruction in teaching methodology, educational psychology, and classroom management. Students will develop the professional competencies, instructional techniques, and ethical standards required for licensure and success as entry-level instructors or related educational professionals.

MASTER INSTRUCTOR COURSE OBJECTIVES
The course includes the following topics:
- How to build confidence, integrity, and a positive professional attitude
- How to develop strong communication, presentation, and grooming skills
- How to understand the value of providing quality service in professional relationships
- How to establish effective work habits focused on safety and infection control
- Master key teaching skills: lesson planning, lecturing, demonstrating, managing student projects, and record keeping
- Application of theory and technical knowledge to make sound professional decisions
- How to stay current with new teaching methods, techniques, and communication strategies for continued career growth
This course is designed to equip aspiring instructors with the conceptual, practical, and motivational tools needed to become effective, learner-centered educators in today’s evolving beauty and wellness industry. This comprehensive program emphasizes the transition from traditional teaching methods to engaging, student-focused approaches that embrace diversity, technology, and lifelong learning. Through the study of key topics such as learning styles, class management, presentation skills, and student assessment, participants develop confidence and competence to inspire growth and success in their students. The course also explores essential professional skills such as teamwork, student retention, and performance evaluation, preparing future educators to excel in their teaching careers and serve as positive role models who lead with integrity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence.
NOTE: Students are required to attend a minimum of 25 hours per week, complete and present six lesson plans with accompanying lectures, and volunteer to lead a class within their specific licensed field of study: Cosmetology, Barbering, Nail Technology, or Esthetics.

Continuing education courses are excluded from accreditation with the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), and licensing from the Delaware Department of Education.

Payment is due in full prior to class
*Additional fees may apply for the State Board licensure examination, which are separate from the course tuition and payable directly to the licensing agency.

No refunds will be given for non-credit courses. If a course is cancelled by Dawn Career Institute, students have an option of enrolling in the next available course or receiving a full refund.
